Miss Penny

I think it is about time I introduced one of my best friends on this little blog, Penny!

Penny is our couch destroyer,treat demander,jump on your face in the middle of the night-er, cat nip junkie.She has a skunk stripe and is all around awesome. We named her Penny after Pepe Le Pew's girlfriend, Penelope.

Everyone should be afraid when we have kids, there will be pictures galore! What would we do without our pets though? She's our little furbaby!

 Yay! Metro.

This past Tuesday my husband, Ryan, and I headed up to one of our favorite venues in Chicago. The Metro is the best place to see any show as far as I'm concerned. I actually won tickets to see Alkaline Trio play. This was kind of a big deal because they have been my favorite band since I was 16 years old.  I have their logo tattooed on me and they will forever remind me of my "punk rock" teenage days. (yes  girls from the suburbs were punk rock) ha. Going to shows at the Fireside Bowl was the best thing about my high school days. Anyways they always put on the best show, the kind where everyone is singing all the words so loud you can't even hear the band and everyone is sweating and happy. 


When Ryan and I got married we played them when we we walked back down the aisle, and I'm pretty sure I'll have their songs played at my funeral. They are just the best. And if you don't know as Clinton Sparks would say " get familiar"...
